Vita [Vee·tuh] Perceptions
Why Vita Perceptions?
I had a colleague recently ask me why I chose Vita Perceptions as my business name. She wanted to know what "vita-mins" had to do with the business. I chuckled as she pronounced it. When I first meditated on a business name a few years ago, I was drawn to the almost lost language known as Latin. I wanted my business to have a uniqueness that would eventually speak for itself if I listened carefully enough. Hence I was drawn to the name, Vita. Not really knowing what "vita" meant and even if it was a Latin word, I went to the internet.
There is a nifty Latin dictionary entitled, "Where Latin meets English." It is in this dictionary that it all made sense. Vita is a Latin word for Life. It is considered a feminine word. The plural sense of this word is Vitae. As a medium among other things, I did get a chuckle from the notion that my spiritual team could in fact make me a, "Vitae."

Now with all of that said, I had to give some consideration as to its correct pronunciation. While I have nothing against vita-mins, in fact I take several a day, I wanted my Vita to be correctly released from the tongue.
So without further ado, here it is:
American and Latin pronunciation
Vee·tuh Perceptions, well you get it. "The ability to see, hear or become aware of something through the senses. "This all according to Mr. or Mrs. Webster dictionary.
